Open the Font Analyzer

Open the standalone Font Analyzer and choose one static TTF. Lipi registers a temporary browser font so every preview uses the actual selected typeface.

Review mapped coverage

The analyzer reads the font cmap and groups mapped characters by Unicode script and general category such as letters, combining marks, numbers, punctuation, and symbols.

A TTF does not label linguistic roles such as vowel or consonant. Those labels require language knowledge and are shown only where Lipi has a curated hosted-language configuration.

Test any compound

Enter words, syllables, or compound sequences in the preview field. Lipi renders the exact Unicode text with the selected font so you can inspect shaping without a predefined language list.

Open technical records only when needed

The Technical Inspector exposes glyph IDs, names, unencoded shaping records, and outlines for diagnosis. These records are intentionally separate from the everyday character preview.
